About Kvarner in North Adriatic sea in Croatia
Nerezine, Croatia NEREZINE is a town and port on the north-eastern coast of the island of Losinj, 5 km south of the Straits of Osor, at the foot of the hill Osorscica (589 m). The town is situated on the regional road passing through the islands of Cres and Losinj.

The climate is mild, with warm winters. The average temperature in January is 7.3 °C and in 24.7°C July. The average annual temperature is 15°C.

The historic records mentioned the town for the first time in the 15th century. It became known as a tourist destination in 1889 when the crown prince Rudolf Habsburg visited the local hill Osorscica.

The town is famous for its lush vegetation and beautiful and unpolluted clear waters. From the hill Osorscica above Nerezine a view is offered on Losinj, the sea and the surrounding islands: Cres, Susak, Srakane, Unije.

On the St. Anna's Day the local population cherishes the tradition of climbing to the top of Osorscica where a mass is held in the St. Nicholas' Chapel. Tourist resort Bucanje, situated between the coves Galboka and Studenac, almost connects Nerezine with Sveti Jakov (St. James).
